The elemental monkeys are fucking useless, the designs look like shit, the only reason they're there is to make an already easy game even easier by giving you type advantage at the first gym. To make things worse they decided to pad out the dex by letting these take up 6 places when they should have evolved from a common pre-evo and only take up 4.
The genies, what's to say? They look like shit, they're like something out of Dragon Quest and the design is just lazy, just because you're a trio doesn't mean you need to be copy-pasted.
These two trios along with the ice cream is a big reason many people dislike gen 5.
