I've been struggling to decide for years and it is driving me insane. It's a toss up between Articuno/Lugia/Kyogre:
Articuno: my favorite in gen 1 because blue is my favorite color and I liked ice powers as a kid (born in 1990) but I never played any of the gen 1 games
Lugia: Silver was my first ever game on my first ever gameboy which I got both Christmas of 2000. Plus Lugia in the 2000 movie made me a big Lugia fan, but my memories of playing Silver and the movie 2000 are kind of fuzzy.
Kyogre: I have the most vivid and best memories playing Sapphire as a kid and Kyogre was my favorite. We would build forts in the woods all the time and it was so cool how you could make a secret base in the game. My group of friends started calling ourselves team aqua when we would build forts and raid the other kids forts in the woods. And I'll never forget my best friend showing me how to catch Rayquaza in the sky tower.
