>Almost as swiftly as the battle had started, it was over. The ref raised the flag towards the opponent’s corner.
>“Chesnaught is no long able to battle! The winner is Hilbert and his...” The ref looked at a note that Hilbert had handed to him before the battle started. “And his Charizard named xXBlaze420Xx... Wow what a fag!”
>Calem returned his pokemon with a deep sigh. He had traveled so far from the shores of Kalos to the big Unovan cities, just to lose. He noticed his opponent make eye contact with him. It seemed like a good time to exit. He needed a quick trip to the locker room to grab his belongings and then escape from this disappointment.
>“Hey Calem, wait up!” Even with a rather hasty exit, Hilbert seemed to use all his strength to catch up. “Hey, no hard feelings right? You guys over in Kalos just aren`t used to playing the Unovan way. I mean you can`t defeat perfection you know? It’s just not possib-“ Hilbert’s lame speech was cut short by a swift punch to the gut. “Ugh, my ribs!” He fell down clutching his stomach.
>Leaving Hilbert to wallow in pain in the empty hallways of the stadium, Calem finally made it to the locker room. His battle had been the last of the day, and most other members of the tournament had left. Who would want to watch Hilbert fight anyway? Especially against a nobody from Kalos. Though the locker room was empty of other fighters, Calem was not alone.
>“Audino!” There was an Audino there waiting anxiously on the bench. The moment Calem entered the room, the chubby Audino began searching a small duffel bag, pulling out a towel and water bottle.
