Made this for a potential ROM hack. Based off of Floridian wildlife. I also had the idea of putting in "invasive" Pokemon who aren't native to the region, hence their absence from the Regional Dex (stuff like Sandile or Rattata). The large amount of Fossilmons is because of one area that's sort of a "lost world", where they can be found in the wild.
