In ORAS you could encounter almost all of the legendary pokemon from gens 2-5 via hoopa's rings. It seems to be implied due to their music and prior info known about hoopa that these legendaries may have been removed from the games they first appeared in. If this is correct than the nonmega timeline would have been without both megas and most legendary pokemon when the Ultra wormholes appeared.
