I feel bad about Kalos getting royally fucked over by Sun and Moon releasing but even then X and Y pale in comparison to Black and White as first version games. BW and BW2 are both solid enough to stand on their own, while XY needed a third version(s) to iron out their issues.
Gen 6 isn't my favorite but I feel guilty for clowning on it while forgetting the monstrosity that is Gen 7's mere existence. And don't get me started on 8.
