Meanwhile there's a plot in your region to, I dunno, unleash some man-made pokemon that can mind control people, on a massive scale. Team Ego, Team Id, Team Big Brain Am Winning Again, I don't give a shit. Your elite four challenge is fucked over because when you get to the elite four Team Nerds unleashes the beast on them and you end up fighting the elite four up to the champion, your mind controlled relly, and then Team Dickheads chief dickhead. At some point you befriended one of the two local legends and they're what help you be the only person not controlled by it. If you leave the challenge and go to explore everyone in the town is just a vacant zombie, just to remind the player to hurry the fuck up and save the world like the drought/rain in Sootopolis.
