I dunno, I thought Hop was basically a better version of Hau. He was endearing to me, always trying to push forward to face off with his brother and I found that pretty admirable in of itself. His character development was way better imo since he fell a couple times (like when Bede kicked his ass) and still got up. I feel like Bede and Marnie got absolutely fucking shafted though for whatever reason. There was an entire lack of plot and all it was was building up to this huge potential global catastrophe when it's just "hurr durr raid time".
I avoided the raid battles like the plague before the mandatory one so it was kind of neat but really fucking anticlimactic. I beat the game in 21hrs flat and I'm still reeling from the fact that it just didn't feel real. It felt like nothing happened.
I didn't mind the graphics but I'm a PS2tard so I'm probably biased. It's a shame though since Splatoon 2 looks 100x better and it was a launch(?) title.
I bought it two days ago and honestly? I'd give it 5/10. Just barely passable. Spoilered image just in case.
