Words cannot describe just how proud I am of GameFreak, /vp/. Even though they've made one of the most successful gaming franchises in history, they still manage to maintain a close relationship with their fans. They really do listen to us and use popular opinion to improve their game and get it ever-so closer to the perfect game for us. So what if they want our money? That's how a company works. I still think Masuda and the rest of GameFreak legitimately love to make us and every other Pokémon fan happy.
>Hey, we think that some types might be a tad overpowered.
Ok, we'll revamp some of the type matchups for you.
>Hey, some of the old Pokémon are kind of too weak for today's metagame
Ok, we'll make some of them stronger so they can be used competently.
>The casual fanbase doesn't understand EV training and other competitive aspects
Ok, we'll make EV training more simple to understand so the learning curve for competitive won't be so steep for casual and/or younger players.
>It gets kind of boring to play with the same characters over and over again
Ok, we'll let you customize your character all you want. Hey, we'll even let you customize some of your Pokémon.
>The Pokémon Global Link doesn't really function as it should
Ok, we'll allow you to search for Pokémon you don't have yet. You can also use it on mobile.
>We were kind of upset that people used to disconnect on WiFi battles
Ok, we'll give them a loss if they disconnect
>We have all these stories about losing our Pokémon games
Well, we'll let you upload them to the cloud so if you accidentally misplace your game, your Pokémon will still be safe and sound. It also only costs a little over a cent per day.
The game will almost guaranteed have no paid DLC since Masuda takes a firm stance against it. Not to mention he's a fucking god-tier composer. This is looking to be such an amazing game. GameFreak and Pokémon are shaping up to be the companies we always dreamed they would be.
