>>53970920>2023>Even during big raid events, the 30+ people that used to show up to raids in my small suburbs are now only roughly 8 tryhards with the occasional extra 6-person carpool of either boomers or Discord fatties that refuse to take part in normal Discord raids>Normal/shadow raids are near impossible to setup in-person unless it's in the middle of a college campus, it's in the middle of a mall/busy park (busy meaning 100+ people at said park), or it's during a big raid event that doesn't require more than 4 people to beat>Elite raids require fucking 10-20 hours of notice in advance before the raid event begins and usually only end up getting 3-4 people to show up most of the timeOn one hand, short raid lobbies make it easier for shit to cycle out of the area so that you only have to [theoretically] wait a few hours before good stuff shows up (the scenario in general shouldn't exist, but at least it's something). On the other, no one ever wants to schedule for these raids. In addition, no one wants to have to wait a whole day to do non-elite raids because most of the gyms have elite raid eggs. I'm not sure what Niantic is trying to do right now to fix the game outside adding "features" that get you more junk that doesn't really matter in the long run, but they should either prioritize advertising or reworking raids to be easier outside merely adding stronger Pokémon or making old Pokémon stronger.
