>>43570843A celebration of competitive Pokemon in the truest sense. Pokemon merch store, goodie bags, massive crowds everywhere, big floating Pikachu, Masuda announcing stuff for the next game, watching top cut games live, console game booths (in 2019 we had SWSH demo and Pokken). When I competed everyone who entered got pic related which is now worth like $500 on ebay lmao.
The tournament itself is fun but very, very tiring. Day 1 is usually 9 rounds of Swiss, you need to win at least 7 to go to Day 2. It can easily last 10 hours. If you forget to drink regularly your heads starts to hurt like a bitch and around round 6 you start underperforming badly. People are generally more respectful towards each other than on the regular Regionals, as most scrubs have obviously been weeded out at this point. In general, its a great experience but you need to be prepared both skillwise and for the whole day of playing video games as well.
