SWSH era card listings are becoming stagnant on eBay. If you want to know what you should be looking at is buying the dip on cards that are 1-3 years old. just go on pokellector, look at old sets, find something you like and look at pricing on eBay. see if the price is right and buy it. disregard "missing out" on newer product since its overpopulated, graded and well preserved for the future anyways.
Thats how I truly collect. If there is a set being released that I want to try and pull a card. I will go on release day to try and get product (fuck scalpers ruining my good time). If I don't get what I want, I just sleeve the rest and wait for product I do want to bottom out in price. I have no problem with holding, because I'm not a flipper or a scalper. I don't even sell cards. I am a TROO collector and will continue to collect until I feel compelled to sell. and that won't be because I'm low on funds. I'm not really a weakling living day by day, paycheck by paycheck
But that's if you want my honest perspective and advice. most of you won't because you are focused on short term gains anyways.
