>>32070971The fact that Game Freak is too conservative in the game's mechanics. Pokemon fans are extremely brand loyal and will consume anything with a Pikachu face slapped on it, yet Game Freak does not use that in their favor to implement bold changes on its formula; and seem to be afraid of releasing something so good that would overshadow future releases, so I get the feeling they intentionally trim the quality of their games for that effect. They improve, yes, but discretely and with baby steps.
