>>56171789But that's not what's happening. Sada's/Turo's journal in the Underdepths mentions them being given a white book by an unknown child, then once you get Terapagos and head to the Crystal Pool you speak with Sada/Turo and give them a white book in exchange for their Scarlet/Violet Book. Game Freak is clearly trying to tell you that these two events are connected, and that the mysterious child who gave them that book was you. This also fits into what we know about the Crystal Pool, namely that it allows you to communicate with the dead. If the Sada/Turo we see is from an alternate universe, then it wouldn't fit thematically since they wouldn't be dead in their world
These events having to do with an alternate Sada/Turo giving up on their dream doesn't make sense because, aside from being pure fanfiction with no basis in the text, our Sada/Turo has the white book as well and it doesn't prevent them from wanting to build a time machine and snatch past/future Paradoxes, if anything it facilitates it. So how can the Sada/Turo from another world, who have no context different from what the other ones in other alternate universes, go in different directions as a result of the same events occurring? And what relevance would an alternate Sada/Turo have to our own world, anyways? What would that accomplish?
