I've heard talk of 2 being inherited from 1 parent and 3 from another, but that sounds like shit to me.
I've bred about 18 marills from 2 4 IV parents (31/31/31/xx/xx/31 and 31/xx/31/xx/31/31) using everstone and destiny knot and i've reached the point where I don't give a fuck and am just using a power item to force over HP no matter what (a common pattern of IVs seems to be ATK/DEF/SP. DEF/SPD) and then breeding for nature once I have the 5 IVs.
