Yeah, and I think it's here to stay. An on-going series, unlike what we've had for the last couple of eras. One that doesn't just 'reset' to align with the latest games, but just continues on like the Original Series did. Hence the title simply being 'Pocket Monsters' again. They aren't tying themselves down to any particular Region or saga this time. And Pokemon GO will always be updating with new 'mons.
