>>49012048Wove my way through some trainers in Route 32. A double-battle was averted by just talking to them and getting solo fights instead.
Finally made it to Union Cave, and the first encounter was a Whismur. Unfortunately, Campbell thought it was the time to show off by taking down a foe that was a level higher than himself with a crit, so the encounter was lost.
In Route 33 we met an Aipom (Sinistra):
>Ahuizotl >When you catch Aipom/Ambipom, 10% for every bipedal non-flying, non-hovering non-swimming pokemon in your party to be lured by this pokemon. If more than one pokemon is lured, randomize 1 among the lured. The lured pokemon is drowned and dies. Increase the chance to 30% if there is any water in this route. Must know a Water or Ice type move if possible. It was raining at the time, so I did not enjoy those odds and considered just leaving it. However, I recalled a detail in Stay Puft’s lore rule, “You may cancel the effects of lore rules of Normal type pokemon as you catch them.” So, I got to catch it consequence-free. Hooray!
Within Azalea’s Pokemon Center was another quiz-giver. Got a Torchic (Firetard) from him.
>Basan>This pokemon is an elusive fowl that breathes cool ghost flames. Can’t lead your party in a trainer battle (unless it is your only pokemon). Can’t use Fire moves with base damage higher than 60. Must know a Flying type move if possible. Must know Will-O-Wisp, Double Team or a Ghost type move if possible. If it ever holds a Charcoal, it will eat it (throw it away).A step into Ilex Forest nets me a Buneary (Woundwort).
>The Luck of the Rabbit>As long as Buneary/Lopunny is in your party, decrease the chance of negative lorerule effects by 5% (to a minimum of 5%). If Buneary/Lopunny dies, you gain a Rabbit’s Foot. This item can be used once to reroll any roll related to a lorerule and then it is thrown away.I have had some great luck in the rolls so far, so this mostly-negative update is tolerable.
