>>35603166This is really late, and some long-winded autism but what I do is separate Pokemon into several categories:
- Pokemon who need to be evolved (dex entries, high IV mons)
- Pokemon who need to be IV checked
- Pokemon that are mass evo fodder
- Pokemon that are mass transfer fodder
- Misc (egg hatches, research rewards, raids, shinies, etc.)
In pic related, I included the ASCII table. Basically how the game sorts names is by ascending ASCII order. This is how it does "alphabetical" sorting. So what this means is that according to this table, the exclamation point is first, then the quotation mark, then the sharp/pound sign, then dollar signs, blahblahblah then 0 through 9 then A through Z then a through z.
The ones that need to be IV checked and the high IV mons that I'm going to evolve are labeled with exclamation points like in the first screenshot in pic related. The unchecked Pokemon have the appraisals in the name because my phone is balls slow so slowly clicking through appraisals after leaving the initial post-catch screen sucks
(it's fast right after catching, I'm guessing it's some dumb issue of pre-loading the entire storage whenever I click on a Pokemon or something), and also because it's just convenient. This way, when I sort by name, these !-prefixed Pokemon will be at the top of the list so that I'll never missed them, either for IV checking or for evolving.
Then I decided to use dollar signs as the next highest priority symbol so they are there for mass evos, right under the high priority evos like the Larvitars. It should just be one $ but the $$ thing was a temporary thing while I switched systems. When I do a Lucky Egg mass evo session, I sort by name, check there are no more potentially good Pokemon who need their IVs checked, then I pop the Lucky Egg until time is up, then mass transfer the evolved evo fodder.
