Genshin Impact is 2 years old now and it's the same, stale game with nothing innovative, yet it's probably one of the most played games on Earth right now. All because they shill the fuck out of it.
The only thing that can save Pokémon (soul wise) are good spinoff games that are not made by Gamefreak.
Seriously, no Pokémon game gets even close to the first two Mystery Dungeons (Red/Blue + Sky). But Super Mystery Dungeon ruined that series too. Maybe the next one will be better but I doubt that.
