You can find similar scenarios all over fiction. What is important here is nothing how the universe treats and constructs Pokémon while finding parallels which have been admitted by multiple sources. The issue here is silly ones such as yourself unable to grasp simple concepts in fiction.
At the end of the day a Pokémon occupies the space of a cat and dog, not a person. Snoopy, and a myrad of other fictional characters, display certain traits but they also occupy those spaces as well.
