>>48067815>Yellow and Crystal were drastically different stories than RB or GS and Emerald and Platinum were essentially exactly the same as their base games.Yellow didn't change the story of red and blue at all. It just added better front sprites, and gym leader and rival teams that were closer to the anime. Crystal only added the lame Eusine/suicune subplot but the main story of gen 2 is exactly the same.
Emerald completely changed the story from rs, having showdowns and interactions with both evil teams, both said teams successfully awakening their beasts, then fug descending majestically to calm them. Platinum was nearly identical story wise until the distortion world, but still changed the story more than Yellow or Crystal. You have it backwards.
