>>47451523Migration is a thing. Hell half the swarms in DPPt and HGSS can be attributed to that, and it gets wild in ORAS after the main plot with Kyogre/Groudon. Plus, the world can be as interconnected as you need/want it to be as long as it's believable and well-written.
EG) A plot I never went through with centered around the Hoenn games and had this prototype Jonno getting a Pidgey egg from one of his relatives, a wild Pichu escaping the daycare, and an abused [spoilers]shiny[/spoilers] Wobbuffet from a Battle Tent ending up in his care after some anime BS, along with his starter and two normal ass captures.Those are of course contextual and highly situational, but migration is definitely more excusable and most anyone will pass it off as just a rare encounter - especially if you can explain it well in-universe. It comes down to your writing talent I suppose.
