>>43476738They pretty much confirmed they plan on introducing and dropping features (gimmicks) with each new gen in order to make it feel fresh. With that said a series like this would benefit from sticking to something and not dropping shit that works. There's no real reason why triple and rotation battles shouldn't be in gen 8 for the sake of variety. Same with Megas and Z moves. If they want to keep the focus on Their newest gimmick they could easily make the old gimmicks not as easily accessible but still have them in.
