besides in the ending where they were sent back to the human world>The feral thing is really morbid, but i'm struggling to come up with any more explanations...I mean the mainline games have dex entries about particular mons eating other particular mons, and Explorers has the running gag with Wurmple and his partner. I guess mystery dungeon feral mons are one way to solve this without having an awkward sense of "is this guy right next to me planning to eat me later???" around. There are likely some obligate carnivore pokemon around too, or at the very least pokemon that require meat as part of their diet to be healthy.
That is one thing I've thought about sometimes though, with plant pokemon in particular, with some of them being mentioned as photo-synthesizing. Some of them at least could probably live off of water and sun alone.

Like with SV, I play a bit of that to fill out the Home dex when it comes. I have some people I do raids with, and I always get nervous about it

Another reason I love PMD lol, it gets me in the mood for creative thinking/writing like that.
