>>47820722Upgrade move 2a - Venoshock. Toxapex fires a somewhat slow moving, wide range, penetrating projectile that does more damage the more stacks of poison the target has, with massive damage against Toxic'd targets. Can hit the same target multiple times if it stays on them (aka if they're retreating from it). Upon upgrade, increase projectile speed and duration.
Upgrade move 2b - Recover: Toxapex restores its own HP and gets a slight increase to its movement speed. Upon upgrade it will also reset the cooldown of Baneful Bunker.
Unite move: Maritime Doomsday: Toxapex launches the spike in its head to the sky, which then rains down countless poison needles in a wide area of affect, slowing down and poisoning everyone in its radius and dealing increased damage to targets inflicted with Toxic. It also powers up the next use of Venoshock.
The idea is for it to be really beefy and never die, punishing those who try to focus it with crippling status at the expense of mostly being rooted in one spot and not being able to chase anything down. Would be absolutely disgusting defending a point though. The loadout sets would force you to choose between your own sustainability and sudden burst damage with Venoshock.
Those in the know would be aware that Toxapex was found in the datamines, but as an undefined Pokemon, meaning it could be anything from a mob, to a stage boss, to a playable character. Let's hope its the latter! Snorlax needs some actual competition and Alola needs a rep that's not Sparky Lucario or Ice Kantoooooo.
