>>37632640My family used to be pretty stacked back when I was young, though things aren't so great now. Given that, I think it's reasonable to assume that I would've been given a starter as a gift as a young child even if we wouldn't be so fortunate nowadays. I'd definitely have gone with Litten.
The area around where I live is full of crayfish, and the city's river is the most polluted in the country, so Corphish seems like it would've been easily available to me, given that they apparently thrive in polluted waters.
I live very close to a public fossil bed dating to the Devonian, which includes fossils of the animals Cradily and Lileep are based on. I actually own a couple of souvenirs of fossils from that park, albeit none of those animals in particular. So assuming simply obtaining the fossil is the bigger challenge compared to actually reviving it, which is how it seems to be in most of the games, I hope it's not too unreasonable to give myself a Lileep.
The largest cave system in the world is only about a 30 minute drive from me, so presumably there'd be a lot of the big, tough cave-dwelling Pokemon in there like Aggron, Steelix, and Noivern. In reality though I'd likely be far too much of a pussy to even enter the cave if things that scary inside, but hopefully I'd at least be brave enough to find a Woobat hanging by the mouth?
I vividly remember that shortly after I first moved to where I live now the local cicada brood emerged. Their shed exoskeletons where everywhere, and for a couple of days you'd hear them crunch under your feet every time you walked outside. So, Shedinja.
In general I'm not a very passionate or dedicated person, I get new interests frequently but I usually drop them after a short while. Because of this I like to think I'd be someone with a lot of Pokemon, but without any of them being particularly well trained. So overall my final team would probably be something like this.
