>>41116026>>41116143Instead of making remakes or enhanced versions, there would be only the one pair of games for that generation. They would receive sizable expansion packs with more places to explore, and both returning and new Pokemon. By the end of the generation, I would like to see the vast majority of the national dex implemented though these expansion packs. Each pack would feature a sizable area to explore and bring back ~120 Pokemon and have ~20 new ones and some regional variants of older ones. In terms of size, each would be comparable to if you combined FRLG's Sevii Islands and DPPt's Battle Zone. A dozen or so routes of varying sizes, and a handful of dungeons/caves, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of a region's worth of content. A few new items, cosmetics, and TMs/TRs/Tutors would be introduced. There would also be updates to the post-game battle facilities. There would be a story for the expansion and it would be sold at ~$20-30 depending on the amount of content. I'd try to get an expansion out every 8-12 months. Returning and new Pokemon would have the same updates to models and animations.
Many iconic Pokemon would be used to help market said expansions.
Charizard wouldn't be added until the final expansion for the gen.One expansion might be a bit smaller in terms of Pokemon and places to explore but feature the return of the Battle Frontier or something comparable to it.
I would keep all quality of life improvements for competitive that SS have, things like changing natures, moves, EVs and IVs would be easy to do in post-game. Players would be able to see usage stats for Pokemon and there would be ladders and events for Pokemon of certain usage, Smogon Style. Playing online gives rewards for TRs, and useful items.
Competitive play would be focused upon heavily. The game would try to be more balanced around full 6v6 battles and the official tournaments would have brackets for both full 6v6 singles and the traditional VGC Doubles.
