Just got back from seeing it, I thought it was pretty damn good personally. Pikachu was kind of annoying but every modern day movie has to have some sort of shitty comic relief to keep the normals interested. The Pokemon cries were also a bit off in some ways but it wasn't unbearable. The animation was ugly for a lot of things but it did look smooth so was acceptable I suppose. The story was actually really good but that's because it was based off of the game. Villain and his Ditto were god tier characters, and all the music during the climax was hella rad. I just wish the movie had more fight scenes and centered around an actual Pokemon and not a guy in a Pikachu's body. I'd say it was a high 6, maybe a 7.
