>>49455714i can accept pokemon shrinking and pokeballs being able to trigger it by man-made mechanism but it just feels like an unnecessary explanation for something thats more of a game function to me rather than an important lore bit like stat points or pp. like when a character swaps between two or three bigass weapons from his pocket; the model ought to do SOMETHING when vanishing, and shrinking out of sight works well enough. it always just seemed like the obvious method of removing the model in a dynamic way without simply blinking it away or doing more complex (for the original GB games) work of showing them turn into energy. at the very least it seems weird to give all pokemon the ability to shrink at will instead of them being forcibly energized to a smaller size by the ball zap
