One last contender from me: has anyone thought about the UNITE professor lately?... at all? She went and Grand-Oaked her way out of the game, evaporated, poofed, left the whole island to Erbie without notice. She's never referenced again after the first five minutes of gameplay. I think she has one line of dialogue in the entire game because Erbie both gives the tutorial and runs the shop.
