Because of the lack of Team Flare in Ash's storyline, do you guys think that Giovanni is going to be the big bad of XY rather than Lysandre? I wouldn't be mad to be honest. Ash and Giovanni haven't had a proper 6v6, and Anime Team Rocket seems to be far more capable of wrecking shit than Team Flare. Team Rocket's more of a militia than an mere criminal organization at this point.

Besides, the writers could give Giovanni one of the newer megas from the next Gen VI game rather than show casing Mega Gyarados with Lysandre. I still think Team Flare will appear, but they're going to be usurped by TR. Here's what I think will happen.

>Team Flare gets taken down.
>Ash gets mega.
>The TR trio gets stomped so badly that they report back to Giovanni.
>Tell Giovanni about everything that's happened.
>Lie about taking down Team Flare
>Congratulates the trio for their efforts (remember Team Galactic)
>Tasks them with getting a keystone ring
>Since the goal doesn't involve Pikachu, the trio finds the keystone ring AND a newly discovered megastone.
>Report to Giovanni
>shit goes down

You know what... Considering that they have gave Giovanni a completely new uniform, that's very possible.

I want a real battle like Team Rocket vs Team Plasma was supposed to be, with Dr. Zager, Pierce, Giovanni and Grunts back, perhaps with some old Rockets (there's so many of them...).
