At the beginning there was a bit of distance between Lillie and Ash compared to the captains but as the series went on Ash and Lillie got so much closer and supported each other even more along the way especially after the aether arc. All the other captains didn't even change and stayed the same dynamic with Ash. Lillie is even more supportive of Ash now and its great.
