it’s called Tales of Tanorio and it was uh alright
maps were pretty but dialog scrolled a bit slowly and the difficulty was laughable, because even if I didn’t overlevel my starter because there wasn’t much reason to try new mons out, the game’s trainer AI is worse than gen 1 as it overuses status moves even when going for an attack would be better
also, the fire starter basically solos almost every fight except the like two trainers that use roc-i mean gem type moves in the game up until i stopped shortly after the second badge from boredom
the game’s low difficulty might have also stemmed from me winning the starter IV and nature lottery as I got a +spe nature on my fire starter (which I chose because I’ve played enough pokemon games/fangames/romhacks/bootlegs to know that fire is one of the least common early game types) and every IV was at least 19 with the spread being 19/30/30/30/20/21
and as I mentioned having good or at least okay matchups against almost everything (except that one cave area) helped
overall it’s better than i expected given the low standards of roblox but i wouldn’t go out of my way to play it
