While waiting to get sword/shield gonna pass the time with another attempt at Pro Fisher Nuzlocke.

If not found (or area didn't have water type) the Pokemon I catch determines how many extra water Pokemon down the line I can catch and how (bugs count as "worm bait" for good rod, fire type counts as "casting net" for surfing, metal counts as "tin can" for oldrod etc).
Tried once on FireRed and ended up losing to rival because I forgot it knew vinewhip that early.
Maybe Emerald will be doable since you get surf really soon.
