I am doing a no bought items with the exception of 1 pokeball per city.
I always play with a level cap, some people do 15 + 5 for the amount of badges. I am doing 10 + 5, this time. Or just to the gym leaders highest/lowest level.
There are tons of different variations on the nuzlocke forums so you could always go look through some to find interesting rules to use in your next playthrough.
