very bad start but on the whole a much stronger dex than some recent gens for me. most lines improved with each evolution. a lot of the ones i dislike i love the concept but not the execution, like the fossils, would have been 10/10 instant favourites if the parts actually matched up instead of the huge disparity in sizes and the giant cross sections. nice reference to famous fossil forgeries but would have been improved with famous local fossils. on the whole though, went in expecting to be disappointed and ended up pleasantly surprised.
