I don't give a fuck about the fancy 3D graphics if you cut the content that fucking much. 5 playable characters, four being from Unova and the other being GF's favorite Pokémon to whore out. Only two Kanto evolution lines. I don't mean to sound like a genwunner, and I do like a lot of newer designs and I do recognize that Gen I had some stinkers, but really, cutting out almost the entirety of Kanto? And most of Johto and Hoenn and Unova?
If they made a sequel to Gates that actually had a decent number of Pokémon, I'd probably buy it instantly, but between having no 'mons and me hearing they really casualified it, I'm never buying Gates.
That being said, I loved Explorers, probably my favorite game in the entire Pokémon franchise. Rescue was also pretty good but I played it after Explorers so it felt a little rough around the edges, but I understand my views are a little skewed by playing a sequel that improved on the rough parts of the original.
