>>40218938You can do whatever you want, I don't really care. I'm a casual Pokemon fan, so I'm not going to bet any money on a failure of SWSH, nor will I defend some of the disappointing shit like a very simplistic overworld compared to Dragon Quest XI or other similar games.
If I had to make a prediction, I'd say that SWSH will be a financial success because despite all the ill will from hardcore fans, it's the first mainline Pokemon game on the Switch, I can't see how it would fail. I expect the same numbers and DQXIS - 150k or so in Japan in the first week, maybe more.
Critically, I predict something around 85 on Metacritic. The game doesn't blow me away, but it looks competent enough, and GF knows how to do a solid videogame. None of the mainline Pokemon games (except the first gen) were ever technically incompetent or hard to play, including LGPE.
I dunno how fans would react to it because I don't know shit about this fanbase beyond the surface level stuff.
