Pokemon needs a competitor and it needs it BAD
there's literally nothing (or nothing you really hear about) in the "monster catching RPG" genre that Pokemon exists in.
Which is baffling because anyone could probably make it and make it enjoyable.
Im watching Ooblets right now, that game that came out on Xbox/EGC last week (Early Access). Its got monster collecting, farming and battling (in the form of dance battles) that seems pretty interesting although its still very very early in development.
