I'm not even sure what the big deal is with a starter being shilled, ever since Ash-Greninja was a thing, the boards simply became a whole lot worse. I'd rather not have any of the starters be the shill mon (I'm saying this as a owl fag, but honestly, all this crap made me care less about the starters overall), but leave it to Game Freak to fuck shit up again and indirectly cause waves of shitposting yet again.
