Duking's Plusle was a complete bro in my Colosseum replay. I used it together with Suicune and the duo shredded everything. Spark to faint any water or flying types while Suicune set up Rain Dance, and Helping Hand to boost Suicune's Surf. Thunder if I didn't need Suicune to use Surf and rain was already up and Fake Tears if I needed to debuff. Definitely my favorite Pikaclone now.
Slaking carried me through the Battle Palace with its choice banded Hyper Beam.
Gen 4's battle factory made me appreciate quite a number of Pokemon too. Lanturn was surprisingly a really good lead since having water, electric and sometimes ice coverage was really nice to have on top of having good HP for survival.
I usually tried leading with water types, so ground types were a must on my team. I grew to love Steelix and especially Donphan due to their physical bulk while being able to hit hard back with Earthquake.
I always found it annoying to fight against Bronzong back in the day but appreciate it a lot more after using it a bit in the factory. It could last for quite a while and its explosion set was always fun to use. Another explosion user I didn't expect to appreciate was Probopass.
On the other hand, FUCK Walrein, Dewgong, and Lapras. All the evasion spammers in both factories were annoying to fight too but they were fun to use
