They're called Pitch Pines and it's to my understanding that they are pretty rare around the world. What's cool about this tree is that forest fires are essential for its health. They have evolved to burn on a semi-regular basis, shedding their outer layers in the blaze and cleansing themselves of infections, deformities, and parasites.
Would be a good candidate for the first Grass/Fire type, IMO. The pinecones could even be like firebombs.
