Anyway, just grind more if it really bothers you that much. That's really all it boils down to. Either you outgrind him or he outgrinds you.
Even if you give up, at least you had a good run. It was you versus literally hundreds of people who probably have way more free time than you do, and you beat all of them for a fairly long time. You did your best, your best placed you in the top 1% of players in your region, and you can't really ask for more than that.
