So do female artists hate lewd pics? Btw, I'm not a girl (nobody on /vp/ is) and I kinda understand why, the appeal of Contestshipping isn't really about Drew and May wanting to have sex(not like Brock wants to fuck Ivy or Millefeui wants to fuck Serena). It's more focused on romance and dating, rivalry, emotions and stuff like inner dialogues so that's what the fan art tries to capture. Also it's pretty much the only somewhat canon ship(Marissonshipping Alain x Manon too, but that's more of a friendship gradually evolving into a romance, of two lonely people who have no other choice but to embrace each other, so different dynamics).

There's only one May shipping that really counts in canon. Contestshipping. Prove me wrong.
That being said, I think Dawn has so many shipping partners for 2 reasons:
-She's easy to ship with boys AND girls, also she's both attractive and pretty.
-Unlike May, she doesn't have a clear shipping preference which kind of motivates people to come up with various different combinations.
