You're not trying to catch the Pokemon you WANT to use. You're catching the Pokemon fate, or the RNG, gives you. And you say THANK YOU, I CAN MAKE THIS WORK.
Hell, most of the pussies here pat themselves on the back for using a bullshit version of the "dupes" clause to allow them to not suffer after running into two Zubats. Based on the already low community standard, you'll end up with a varied team.
You'll just be using a Dewgong instead of an Articuno, and you know what, you're gonna end up loving that Dewgong, and it's going to bounce a few spots ahead on the "favorite ice Pokemon" list because you gave it a shot, instead of gaming the fucking system to catch an Articuno that we all know you've fucking played around with before.
