You go to a local club, or some local tourneys for it with whatever shitmon you have. Its a hobby. Like video games, you have those insane people who rise to an absurd level of skill but most of us are content to just enjoy it. I wouldn't compare real people to the protagonists of Pokemon games anyway simply due to the unrealistic nature of their scenario. We don't drop everything to try to become video game masters, now do we?
