Everywhere else but the Pokedex, even apparently carnivorous Pokemon are always shown to eat berries or jelly donuts or whatever, and the very few times a Pokemon is shown 'dying' it magically disappears into spirit energy or something.
Do Pelipper, Beautifly and Gible actually fucking brutalize other Pokemon?
