OP is right that it makes more sense to take off your shoes inside houses, on beaches, and in the water. I liked how the characters take their shoes off inside in ORAS and Arceus. I wish all the games let you go barefoot. And yes I do like seeing cute pokekids barefoot. They're so cute and their adorable feet just make them cuter. I wish I could tickle their soft little soles and watch them try to hold in their laughter.
