The idea is that Hunchole and Hunchive stick fruit and berries into their back holes to make juice/jelly that they eat. Hunchive keep swarms of Vespestle around to mash up large quantities of berries in its back holes to support both itself and the colony.
The idea was based on Mushizo from Ninja Scroll plus the concept of a mortar and pestle.
