I just want to enjoy games, and to see that the main games of the biggest and highest grossing franchise in the ENTIRE WORLD are one of the most mediocre monster collection games out there at the moment is just killing me. And everyone is copying whatever Pokémon is doing in their monster collection games and it just drives me mad because it shows that they don't understand that people like Pokémon for different reasons and not just one.
I want Pokémon to be the very best because it makes other games in the genre be the very best as well. Pokémon games are supposed to be the pioneers, the leaders, the ones moving gaming forward, like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Chrono Trigger for JRPGs, like Bethesda is with open world games with the Elder Scrolls before they streamlined everything, like Bioware used to with heavily story-driven experiences before they went to shit, etc. etc...
I'm just... really sad about it all and to see people just argue over tiniest little things here and scream "shills" and "retards" because they don't accept different people like different things... It just makes me feel like I'm too old for this shit. I mean, I am older than most here, probably, but still.
Fuck, I guess ima just get drunk tonight and play some simulation game to cool down.
